We understand how important the Tar Heel 10 Miler is to our runners, which is why we’re committed to providing a seamless race experience. If, due to COVID-19, we’re forced to cancel the race, you’ll have several options. You can receive your entire registration fee back in the form of race credit, which will not expire and can be applied to any Capstone Races event.

While we’re optimistic about hosting the 2023 race, we also understand that some runners may not feel comfortable participating for various reasons. That’s why we’ve waived our normal deferral fee, giving you the flexibility to defer your registration for race credit at no extra charge.

In the event that we need to switch from a physical race to a virtual one due to COVID-19, all participants who choose to stay in the virtual race will receive the difference of their registration fee back in the form of race credit.

Please note that our “No Refund” and “No Transfer” policies will still be in effect for this race. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to providing a memorable race experience for you.
